The paintings of Frank Anderson constitute vast landscapes, where space and duration are visualized in a classic depth representation, which also refer to spiritual spaces evoked in the titles. The landscapes with characteristic low horizon, focusing on the ever-changing air element, are defined by painterly suggestion rather than realism.

His paintings get their meaning from the unlikely possibilities of the suggestive power of the bruchstroke.

With that, he finds the most spontaneous and most thoughtless right gesture. A painting gesture that has been set with certainty. A gesture for the mind.
